Kooljaman means “place of no grass” in the language of the Bardi people who live at the top end of Cape Leveque, in the Kimberly, Western Australia.
It is a place of intense colours. The meeting point of deep red earth, white sands, and the ever changing blue ocean.
We were fortunate to be invited to Broome and made our way to Kooljaman. It was bliss. I must extend a huge thank you to the Bardi community for making us so welcome in their part of the world.
If you ever need a mobile device free moment, it is sooo the place to go.
Cooper (red), silver (white) and shibuichi (grey) with sterling silver stud backs, treated with niage.
